Cleaning is defined as: "the purposeful activity of removing soil and undesired substances from an environment or surface to reduce damage or harm to human health or valuable materials. Cleaning is the process of locating, identifying, containing, removing, and properly disposing of unwanted substances from an environment or material."
We have been an IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) Firm since 1981. Our company has two technicians that are both Certified IICRC Master Textile, on staff and an apprentice cleaning technician. Because our clients are extremely important to us and wanting to ensure they receive the best cleaning experience possible, education and training is a must for our technicians. Our technicians are sent to schools and seminars taught by accredited professionals in our industry.
We offer hot water truck-mounted cleaning, which is preferred by the majority of the carpet manufacturers. This will remove the highest percentage of soil from your carpet and home. Other methods are available for specific applications.
We are the only company in the Pacific Northwest certified by "WoolSafe" to clean wool carpet and rugs. With that, we also clean wool upholstery.
Most upholstery can be cleaned with the extraction process. For decorator fabrics, we offer low moisture and dry cleaning. We also offer leather furniture cleaning.
So you don't feel as if you are in a “Fish Bowl” with bare windows, we now can clean drapes in your home. This includes some fabric blinds, valances, and other window treatments. In most circumstances, metal blinds can be picked up and returned within a few days. Other items we clean are fabric wall hangings, some fabric lampshades, and wallpapers.
Our products are specifically designed for carpet and fabrics. Our products are safe for you, your children, pets, the environment, and our employees.
Whether it is carpet, upholstery, or draperies maintaining your investment is a partnership. Vacuum frequently**, clean up spots and spills immediately (for all of the above), and using walk-off mats at all entries to keep your carpet clean is a great maintenance plan. Then every 12 to 18 months (or less) our company comes in and deep cleans (restorative cleaning) your carpets. If you keep this cycle going, you will be surprised how long your fine furnishings will last!
**It is recommended that vacuuming in frequent-traffic areas be done twice a week or more (depending on the number of people and pets in the home). The entire area should be vacuumed, at the least, weekly. The vacuum bag/cup should not be more than ½ full in order to be effective. Be sure the vacuum is set properly for the style of carpet you have and the brush is not too stiff, worn, or wrapped with hair, yarn, and fur. Vacuuming in different directions helps to remove dry particulates (soil). One day vacuum north/south and the next time vacuum east/west. Ensure your vacuum cleaner belt is engaged (moving). Finally, be sure the vacuum cleaner you are using is right for the carpet style and brand of carpet. You can visit www.carpet-rug.org
for a list of certified vacuums that are to be used on newer style carpets to help maintain your warranty.
It is recommended you vacuum your drapes, valances, furniture, etc. depending on the use and where your home is located; as well as turn your pillows and cushions monthly.
